Dunmarra fronts straight onto the Stuart Highway, so there's no turn-off to hunt for — just roll in off the bitumen. Fuel up with petrol or diesel, stretch the legs and head inside for a feed.
The kitchen turns out hearty cooked meals off the chalkboard — steaks, schnitzels, parmies, local barramundi and mixed grills — plus takeaway and a bain-marie stacked with pies, sausage rolls and the odd vanilla slice for the road.

Fuel
Unleaded and diesel at the pumps, with room for caravans, trailers and road trains to pull through.
Diner
Big plates, fair prices. Sit down in the dining room or grab takeaway and keep rolling.
The Bar
A licensed bar with happy hour — the perfect way to wash off a long day of highway driving.
Dinner under a drover's sunset.
Step inside and the dining room wall glows with Banjo’s Dream 04, a sweeping mural by G Walker. Drovers rest on logs around a campfire, horses stand at the fence line and the whole scene burns under a red-and-gold outback sky — a nod to the stockmen and the bush ballads that shaped this stretch of country.
It's the backdrop to every meal at Dunmarra, and well worth a photo while you wait for your order.
Pull up under the trees.
Grassed, powered sites under big mature shade trees, an unpowered and tent area out the back, drive-through sites for big rigs, and motel rooms when you fancy a night out of the van.

Truckies, travellers & road trains welcome.
This is road train country. Dunmarra has plenty of room for the big rigs to pull in, fuel up and rest, and the drivers who know this highway best have been stopping here for years.
Whether you're hauling freight up the Track or towing the van on the lap of a lifetime, there's a hot meal and a cold drink waiting.
History on the doorstep.
Use Dunmarra as your base to explore some of the Stuart Highway's best-kept stories.
Frew Ponds
About 35 km south, the Overland Telegraph Line Memorial Reserve marks where the line from Adelaide to Darwin was joined in 1872.
Newcastle Waters
Further south, the historic township is home to Jones's Store, the old Junction Hotel and the bronze Drover's Memorial.
The Stuart Highway
Sealed end to end, “the Track” links Darwin to Port Augusta. Dunmarra sits right on it — no detours required.
Local tradition says Dunmarra takes its name from Dan O'Mara, an Overland Telegraph linesman who disappeared out here in the early 1900s.
Right on the Track.
